Christopher Columbus Kraft (Phoebus, Virginia, 28 de febrero de 1924-Houston, Texas, 22 de julio de 2019),​ también conocido como Chris Kraft, fue un ingeniero estadounidense y gerente de la NASA que participó en la creación del Centro de Control de las Misiones (CCM), entidad encargada de la administración y logística de los vuelos espaciales de la NASA. Después de graduarse en el Instituto Politécnico y Universidad Estatal de Virginia en 1944, obtuvo empleo en el Comité Asesor Nacional para la Aeronáutica (NACA, en inglés), que en ese entonces era la agencia estadounidense encargada de las investigaciones aeronáuticas, antes de convertirse en la NASA. Durante más de una década, Kraft llevó a cabo investigaciones de ese tipo en el comité, y en 1958 se integró en el Grupo de Tareas Espaciales, un pequeño equipo de empleados con la misión de conseguir que un estadounidense fuese el primer ser humano en viajar al espacio exterior. Mientras trabajaba en la división de operaciones de vuelo, Kraft fue elegido como el primer director de vuelos de la NASA. Durante su gestión, se realizaron algunas misiones destacadas en la historia espacial, tales como el primer vuelo espacial de un estadounidense, el primer vuelo orbital de un estadounidense y la primera caminata espacial de un estadounidense. Kraft renunció a su puesto de director de vuelo en la fase inicial del programa Apolo, para enfocarse en la administración y la planificación de las misiones. En 1972, fue nombrado director del Centro de Naves Espaciales Tripuladas (luego conocido como Centro Espacial Lyndon B. Johnson), una división de la NASA enfocada en el entrenamiento de los astronautas y en el control de vuelos tripulados. Antes de su llegada, su mentor Robert Gilruth había sido el anterior director del centro. Si bien Kraft ocupó el puesto hasta 1982, cuando se retiró de la NASA, continuó luego como consultor de varias empresas como IBM y Rockwell International, y publicó una autobiografía titulada Flight: My Life in Mission Control (2001). Su trayectoria al frente de importantes misiones espaciales en la historia estadounidense le han llevado a ser referido como un elemento indispensable en la organización y formación del CCM.​ En 1999 obtuvo el premio National Space Trophy por parte del Rotary Club, y el organismo lo describió como «una fuerza impulsora en el programa de vuelo espacial humano estadounidense, desde sus comienzos hasta la era del transbordador espacial. Un hombre cuyos logros se han vuelto legendarios».​
